There are some things that are really hard to find in Lakshadweep. Like fast cars, the shrinkage, or tranquilizers. They have all that water though. Bright and clear as liquid glass, strips of white stretch of sand where the only crowd you will never be the washerwomen on the shore. And you could sleep on the beach with the night sky as its roof. Therapy has never felt better.

Geographically similar to that other divers 'refuge, Lakshadweep is like Maldives without the crowds. 400 miles off the coast of Kerala, this group of 36 coral islands and atolls can be reached by a sea journey of twenty-hours of Kochi. Of the ten inhabited islands, Bangaram and Kadmat only two are open to foreigners and there are dive centers on both these islands. The lagoons are home to a spectacular world of marine life, so unexplored, you may well have a site named after you.

Around the island of Kadmat

Surrounded on the east and west side of the lagoon, is the asylum Kadmat ideal loneliness. This small island has an amazing variety of marine flora and fauna. Some of the dive sites explored until the date is beyond any kind of written description, they are ethereal moments of pure wonder.


A wall of soft coral that starts at 12 meters and cascading down to the deep blue. Dive between the turtles as resplendent as their surroundings.

Sting ray city

A dip of 21 meters along the sand dunes, abundant with sting rays.

Cross Currents

Located between the islands of Amini and Kadmat, dip the stems together with schools in teething rings, Fusilier and Sharks at 15-21 meters.

Cat Point

A dip of the drift between 21-30 meters with different types of fish like king fish and Cat Fish.

Garden of Eden

An abundance of table coral at 12-25 meters along with varieties of small fish and simple.

Eastern Canal

Located between 9-20 measured an abundance of coral and light tuna.

Around Bangaram Island
